It is not advisable to tumble dry wool. Wool garments, including Merino, can sometimes be dry cleaned, hand or machine washed. Always refer to the care label instructions. If your garment is machine washable, wash it inside out in a laundry bag and make sure you choose a gentle "wool" cycle at 30 degrees or less. Use a mild soap with low pH suitable for knitwear. Due to the natural characteristics of wool some pilling may occur on the surface of the garment over time. To maintain the appearance of your garment, we recommend using a lint roller.
A high percentage of our cashmere is from recycled sources. The recycled yarn comes from luxury spinners in Prato, Italy where they have a long heritage of recycling these luxury fibers. Using recycled fibers reduces the environmental impact of the products we make, by utilizing resources that are already in circulation and reducing our dependency on virgin material. So we use less energy, water and create less waste.
Due to the natural characteristics of this yarn and delicate structure of the knit, we recommend a mild inside out hand wash in cold water, using a mild soap with low pH, suitable for knitwear. Dry cleaning is optional. Some pilling on the surface of the garment may occur over time. To maintain the appearance of your garment, we recommend gently using a wool comb. Always refer to the garment care label for specific instructions.
Merino Wool is a natural fiber originating from the Merino Sheep. It has high levels of warmth, breathability and is extremely soft against the skin when compared to traditional wool products. All of our merino wool items are RWS certified. The Responsible Wool Standard is an industry tool that ensures the wool comes from farms where the land has been managed using progressive methods and the sheep have been treated responsibly.
